Vintage watches are exactly that: vintage. They have been on this earth for a good long while, some of them traveling long distances, and are products of a technologically less sophisticated era. To own a vintage watch means to love it equal parts for its beauty, its imperfections, its age, and its history.

Therefore, with vintage pieces, wear and patina as well as variability in the reliability, accuracy and/or waterproofing should be expected from usage prior and age. An extended mechanical warranty of 1 year is only applicable if it is stated in the original listing and is only concerned with the accuracy of the movement and its accurate time keeping starting from the date of initial sale. This warranty does not guarantee against misuse or accidental damage. Unless stated otherwise, Disco Time makes no mechanical guarantee in terms of movement, accuracy or waterproofing.

To gain a full understanding of your potential purchase, please thoroughly review the item’s description and examine closely all product images. It is our prerogative to accurately describe and depict the current condition and ensure the working order of all watches we sell to the best of our ability. If the watch is not working as it has been described, please reach out to us directly at info@disco-time.com so that we can set out accordingly to resolve the circumstances.

All watches sold through Disco time come with a 2-day try-on period that begins the day the package is delivered. Use this period to wear and inspect in-person. If the watch doesn’t meet your expectations, please communicate this back to us immediately via email at info@disco-time.com to obtain a refund authorization before shipping the watch back.

Shipping is to be paid for by the buyer and must be sent overnight fully insured. The buyer assumes all risks in returning the item. No refund will be considered after the 2-day inspection period ends. All returns that have been shipped and received must be returned in the same condition as when they were sold or a full refund may not be guaranteed. The standard refund time is 12-14 business days.

Although we welcome buyers abroad, returns for purchases made outside the U.S. & Canada will not be accepted.

We expect careful and reasonable treatment of all watches and any damage inflicted or incurred due to misuse or accident post-sale is outside the responsibility of Disco Time and is liable to be rejected for return and refund.

A restocking fee of $50 will be assessed to watches under $500, $75 for watches under $1,000, $100 for watches under $2000, and $200 for watches over $2,000.

All of our watches include complementary insured shipping within the 50 states.

Items are shipped via FedEx or UPS, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase and upon the clearing of funds. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or Brooklyn.

International buyers should contact us prior to purchase for additional details on shipping and payment options.

In the case that packages are lost or stolen, a refund will be issued only upon the approval and payment of the insurance claim.

We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages that show successful delivery to the order address, however we will do our best to assist you.

Buyers are responsible for any taxes, tariffs, customs or duties due in the country of destination.

It is not truly possible to guarantee that any watch from 50+ years ago is equipped with every component originally as it left the factory. Therefore, rather than ‘originality’, we prefer terms like ‘authentic’, ‘authenticity’, and ‘correct’ and do our due diligence in ensuring that for each timepiece.

For accessories, the buyer has one day to inspect and determine their purchase. The items cannot be worn or used if they are to be returned. Return shipping is on the buyer. Watch accessories may be returned as well, but cannot have been worn, unwrapped, or bent. Return shipping is on the buyer.

If accuracy and reliability are a primary concern, it is advised that one opt for a battery-operated quartz watch in lieu of a mechanical watch. Mechanical watches are historically less efficient at timekeeping than quartz watches.

To request an order change or cancellation, clients are encouraged to email info@disco-time within one hour of sale. Please note that changes and cancellations are not guaranteed, as packages are shipped often.

Currently, Disco Time accepts all major credit cards via PayPal and stripe.

Submerging your vintage watch in water is inadvisable unless stated otherwise.
