Breitling Datora, ref.2033

$3,164.00

Why We Love It

A Breitling Datora from the 1970s, emblematic of the brand's cultivated and distinct design language, embodies the precision and reliability demanded by pilots and other professionals. This atypical limited production blue dial reference 2033 with a Valjoux 7734 movement is especially distinct among the variations released during the decade and rare among the existing vintage Datoras.

The dial's deep, rich hue contrasts beautifully with the silver hands and markers, while the cushion case geometry is carried through to the subdials, defining their contours. The bright orange chronograph second hand adds an exciting juxtaposition to the timepiece's cool tones. Despite the many elements of this watch, all are well-coordinated and harmoniously integrated, demonstrating the brand's design prowess.

From a technical perspective, the Breitling Datora is equally impressive, housing the high-quality Swiss Valjoux 7734 movement, renowned for its accuracy and durability. The column-wheel chronograph movement uses a column wheel to switch between the chronograph functions making it more precise and reliable than a cam-switched movement.

This is a watch to excite both the sophisticated Breitling collector and the 1970s enthusiast. The rarity of the piece makes it a great addition to an existing collection or a great start to a new one.
