Cartier ‘Must de’ Tank, Ref.681006 (Box & Papers)
Why We Love It
Here’s a watch from a brand that needs no introduction. We’re excited to be offering this brilliant sterling silver Must de Cartier Tank that is in absolutely pristine condition. The classic Cartier Tank case paired with its blue Roman numerals and cabochon crown make for an ultimately distinguished and regal design; it’s simplicity and class with a little bit of sass.
About the Brand
Cartier was founded in 1847 and then amidst the advent of the quartz movement in watches, the Must de Cartier line was established in 1973. It’s with the Must de Cartier line that Cartier would design, engineer, and manufacture a quartz movement of their own to not only adapt to the times, but also be able to then offer a more affordable line of watches to the public. There are a variety of designs within the Must de Cartier line, but being the principled brand that Cartier is, Must de Cartier designs remained consistent throughout the decades. While we’re bending our own rules a tad by offering a 1990s timepiece, this piece has total semblance to the watch that was initially released in the 1970s, let alone every tank style watch that Cartier has been producing since its inception. But weren’t the 60s and 70s about rule breaking anyway?
