Why We Love It

This is an absolutely out-of-sight example of an Omega De Ville that has tons of flash and panache while being so simple in its design. The elegant ellipsoid case with its brilliantly exact proportions and its polished finish gives the piece a distinctly ‘mod’ quality about it. Its fish-scale mesh bracelet commands a ton of interest on its own as one wonders how something of the sort actually gets assembled. Altogether, this watch is unmistakably a product of its time and we dig it, baby.

About the Brand

Omega is a brand beloved by just about every watch enthusiast and has been lauded for its designs and technological strides since its founding in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland in 1848. Its reputation has been consistent, if not reinforced, through to the contemporary moment with great diligence and oversight by the Swatch Group with whom they merged in 1983. While they’re most notable for the Speedmaster, the watch famous for being worn by Buzz Aldrin on his voyage to the Moon in 1969, their other lines i.e. the Seamaster, the Constellation, the Geneve, & the De Ville, were all inclusive of exceptional timepieces. Of the group, the De Ville line was by far the most eclectic and adventurous in its designs and was so without ever compromising functionality and precision.
