Roland Schild Bracelet
Why We Love It
This watch embodies the glamor of the disco-era fully. The oversized O-shaped links of the bracelet harken back to a time when designers embraced and implemented strong geometries in an incredibly playful manner. The statement of the case and the bracelet combined with the elegance of the Breguet hands and numerals makes for a watch that takes its fun seriously. We admire this piece for being nothing less than emblematic of the moment in which it was born out of.
About the Brand
Roland Schild had a long and successful stint in the watch world since its founding in 1896 until it was forced to dissolve, like many of its contemporaries, amidst the earth-shattering ‘Quartz Crisis’ of the 70s and 80s. Little documentation is maintained on the brand and its watches are difficult to find. We’re proud to have been able to dig up this one that is in such phenomenal condition.
